About

Kevin-J-OLearyAnubis Creative formally known as Anubis Graphics, recently changed it’s business name to encompass all forms of design - not just print, but designing and building beautiful websites, too.

I first started Anubis Graphics in 2001 as a graphic design studio and primarily worked in print design. After years in that field I transitioned into designing for the web and eventually found my passion. I design everything myself and hand code each project.

Not only do I have a degree in Graphic Design, but also a diploma in Web Development so I can look at projects from both sides of the equation and follow through with clean, engaging, and functional websites incorporating standards-compliant XHTML/CSS coding. I also have experience with Javascript, jQuery, Flash, PHP and MySQL as well as WordPress. I code each site with SEO (search engine optimization) in mind so that your site ranks well for your targeted key words. This means the latest W3C web standards and guidelines, resulting in semantic and SEO friendly techniques using XHTML and CSS.

I have worked as an in-house designer for automotive CRM innovator Newgen, pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, advertising and marketing firm AdEase, internet marketer Einstein Industries and later Triad Digital Media where I worked as Senior Web Designer for client Walmart.com. I have been responsible for producing a wide range of print and collateral material, corporate identity, trade show graphics, but primarily web design and development.

My past experiences include in-house, corporate, studio and freelance work, pre-press, production manager, graphic and web design, as well as starting this personal business Anubis Creative. An avid enthusiast of ancient Egypt, I named my business after my favorite mythological god Anubis (pronounced Ah-NEW-bis).

The love of travel and other cultures has led me across the globe. Past adventures include snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, bunji jumping the Victoria Falls bridge in Zimbabwe, safaris through Zambia and South Africa, followed up by adventures throughout Egypt, the Czech Republic, Germany, France, and the Yucatan of Mexico. A past trip to China included exploring the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City in Beijing, as well as Xian and Shanghai. Experiencing these cultures has influenced and continues to inspire my work as a designer.
